This is a customised itinerary for cruise ship around Iceland. I will drive and meet you at each docking location in the morning. We will then explore many locations in those area, and I will drop you back to the dock before the cruise ship for that day.

August 18 : the south coast

Reynisfjara is a world-famous black-sand beach found on the South Coast of Iceland, which features basalt columns and the dramatic Reynisdrangar sea stacks. It's beside Vik i Myrdal, the southernmost village on the mainland of Iceland.

Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, with a drop of some 60 meters and a width of 25 meters. You can walk right up to it but be prepared to be drenched. It is overwhelming standing next to it.

Kerid is approximately three thousand years old, making it roughly half the age of most volcanic calderas found in Iceland. This is the major reason why Kerid's slopes are red in color rather than a volcanic black; the iron deposits are, geologically speaking, fresh.

This vivid redness is part of the appeal of visiting this crater. The crimson rocks contrast dramatically with their surroundings, particularly the intense azure color of the waters within the crater lake and the verdant bursts of vegetation.

Bruarfoss (Bridge Falls) is a small waterfall in South Iceland that flies under the radar of many travelers. This hidden gem is known as "Iceland’s Bluest Waterfall," and no wonder — its clear, bright blue waters are a sight to see that you won’t want to miss.

Jökulsárlón, Iceland's most famous glacier lagoon, is located in Southeast Iceland. The stunning Jokulsarlon, Iceland's largest lake, is a must-visit landmark where icebergs break away from an outlet of the vast Vatnajokull Glacier and drift gracefully toward the Atlantic Ocean.

Vestrahorn mountain is located on the Stokknes Peninsula, close to the town of Höfn. Unlike most of the mountains in Iceland, it is made out of iron- and magnesium-rich gabbro rock, which leads to its dark and jagged appearance.

Studlagil Canyon is one of the most stunning and interesting natural wonders in Iceland. Towering hexagonal columns of basalt line the walls of the Studlagil Canyon, contrasting with the glacial river that flows through, making it one of Iceland’s hidden gems. There are several tours of the Eastfjords, and Studlagil Canyon is not to be missed when exploring this side of Iceland.

Goðafoss waterfall is located in the river Skjálfandafljót in north Iceland, the fourth-largest river in Iceland. It is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the country, falling from a height of 12 meters (39 feet) over a width of 30 meters (98 feet).

Námafjall, also known as Hverir, you will see many smoking fumaroles and boiling mud pots, surrounded by sulphur crystals of many different colours. This sulphur gives the area an overwhelming smell of egg.

Dynjandi waterfall is the biggest waterfall in the Westfjords and truly deserves to be called the Jewel of the Westfjords.

Bolafjall is a mountain peak you can drive up in Bolungarvik in the Westfjords, offering incredible views across Isafjardardjup fjord and its surrounding mountain ranges.
