Exploring Iceland

While traveling around Iceland we need to stay warm and dry, an insulated jacket is recommended. Most important thing is to dress in layers that can pile on or strip off as needed. It’s a good idea to bring a small day pack with you while out exploring.

Here are some packing recommendations

  • Lightweight wool jumper

  • Waterproof and windproof jacket

  • Waterproof trousers

  • Thermal layers

  • Waterproof hiking boots with good grip (if you going to buy a new pair, please wear them couple of times before coming)

  • Crampons (I will have them for you while you with me, but you can also buy one and use it when you’re not with me)

  • Hat, gloves and wool socks

  • Small day pack (carry what you need while exploring, phone, camera, powerbank etc.)

  • Water bottle (Refill Iceland nature fresh water)

  • Swimsuit (if you plan to visit the hot springs)
